FILM // Muff Customs XR600

It's pretty much non-stop here so when we're still watching a film/video/vine after more than two seconds it's normally the sign of something good. However, if we make it to the end of it we know it's worth making some noise about.

Film maker Malte Rosenfeld and the guys at Secondskinworks dropped us an email with a link to this short, shot at Muff Customs in Hackney Wick, London. All too often these days the focus is on the end result, rather than the work that goes into a build, but this film captures the essence of the skill, time and attention to detail that goes into creating something unique (in this case a very tidy XR600 café racer). Malte explains:

"I met Josh - the owner of Muff Customs on the opening night of the Muff cafe & workshop in Hackney Wick in London. Over the following months I dropped by for coffee until eventually taking a camera with me.
I have always been fascinated by mechanics and especially motorbikes and Josh and I agreed that it would be great to make a little piece about the craft and creative side of custom bike building. So over a few months I came by the workshop whenever I had time. In the end the footage in the film is from a few days, concentrating on the build of the XR600 - a beautiful bike."

Anyway, enough words, watch it and share the arse off it! It's films like this that not only remind you of the skill and passion involved in the everyday, but really make you want to go and get dirty!
